October 2nd The Richmond Monuments are watching you...

Richmond Monuments, a webcomic, will launch October 2nd with a bi-weekly schedule on Sundays.

Richmond Monuments is illustrated and written by Bizhan Khodabandeh, a graphic designer and educator that works under the name Mended Arrow.

Richmond Monuments is about anthropomorphizing Richmond, VA monuments as if they were objective observers of the populace. The intent is not to overtly make political commentary on the historical figures that the monuments were intended to represent. Nor is the strip intended to delve into esoteric Richmond politics or ethnography. The mission of the strip is to find humor in our own humanity through the eyes of voyeuristic monuments – something people from most cities could relate to.
