Mission
In March of 2013, an exhibition of 100 typographic posters by 50 American and 50 Chinese designers will begin their tour in China. On June, 7th, 2013 this same collection will begin its tour in the United States starting at Richmond, Virginia's Gallery5.

The mission of this exhibition is to introduce both culture's respective use of typography while helping us better understand our own use of language and inspire new typographic approaches.

Works deadline
Works shipped to China must arrive no later than February 28th, 2013.
Works shipped to Gallery5 must arrive no later than April 27th, 2013.

Works qualifications1. Designers are requested to submit one past or present work that best represents their use of typography.

2. Submissions must include a low resolution digital version of the printed poster no larger than 1000 pixels on its longest side.

3. Submitted works must be printed posters ( digital, offset, silk-screen, etc.)  with a size of 100cm×70cm OR 50 cm×70cm

4. Past works can be submitted and modified to fit the format, but must have been originally created after June 25th 2010.

5. If selected, artists are expected to provide 4 printed copies.

NOTE: Work sent to China will not be sold nor returned to artists but will remain part of the traveling exhibition and become part of a collection at a Chinese university. Of the 2 works sent to Gallery5, one will be reserved for a traveling exhibition/s in the United States with the second on display and available for sale at the June exhibition. United States artists have a choice to have the unsold work returned to them at their expense or be donated to The Virginia Commonwealth University’s Art and Design Collection.

Submitters were be notified of acceptance the first week of February.
